JSON Editor is a product of Vektosys — a team focused on building sharp, trustworthy developer utilities. Our site lives at https://jsoneditor.vektosys.com.
Our mission
Developers paste sensitive payloads every day: API responses, config fragments, migration samples, and production-shaped fixtures. Most "online JSON Editor" quietly send that data to a server. We believe that is the wrong default.
Our mission is simple: deliver the fastest, most pleasant JSON toolkit that runs entirely in your browser — format, validate, view, convert, and transform without accounts, uploads, or backend storage of your documents.
What we build
- JSON formatter & editor with tree and code views
- Converters between JSON and formats like XML, YAML, CSV, SQL, Markdown, and TypeScript
- Utilities for merge, sort, search, schema, and JSONPath-style queries
- Developer tools such as UUID, Base64, hashing, regex, and timestamps — handy companions beside JSON work
Why local-first matters
Local processing means lower latency, offline-friendly progressive web app use, and a privacy model you can explain in one sentence: your JSON does not leave your device for us to process. Preferences may live in localStorage on your machine; support email is the only channel where you deliberately send us a message.
Who we are
Vektosys builds focused web products for builders. JSON Editor is our answer to cluttered, ad-heavy formatters that treat developer data as an afterthought. We obsess over editor ergonomics, clear errors, and conversion quality — then ship improvements openly through our changelog and release notes.
